Meet Sheryl Stokes - G.L.A.M. Workshop Facilitator

Sheryl Stokes has been involved in the development, training, grooming and imaging of models, actors, singers and dancers for over 30 years. Her guidance has led young talent to work in larger national and international markets word wide. Some of her discoveries have worked in television, film, broadcasting and major international fashion markets. She also has a long history of training and developing numerous pageant winners from Miss Hal Jackson’s Talented Teen International to Miss USA,  and was voted Mrs. Michigan Woman of the Year in 1993. A regular participant as a pageant judge, Sheryl has held many pageant titles.  She has worked as a runway and print model as well as appearing in television commercials as well as having a long history as a fashion coordinator, photo stylist and fashion guru.
In 2009 Mrs. Stokes extended her experience in the film industry when she enjoyed casting her first movie project. She is formerly the director of Aero Model Management and director of a Michigan chapter of the International Model and Talent Association, a position she held for over 17 years.
Sheryl is founder and CEO of Life Lessons, a workshop and seminar series which is developed as a teen and young adult guide to confidence development and self discovery. Life Lessons, created in 1993 with a scriptural foundation concentrates on the social, professional, and internal maturity without compromise and to edify and exhort our youth to their proper place in society. Life Lessons training is also available in private and semi private sessions.
The Life Lessons audience includes teens, Christian youth groups, teen social groups, pageant preparation groups and after school programs. One of her favorite events is the etiquette luncheons and mother/ daughter breakfasts. Mrs. Stokes has enjoyed being known as a public speaker and lecturer and has been a guest and key note speaker at many public schools, colleges, universities, beauty pageants and church youth groups.
Known throughout the Detroit area as “Mama Stokes”, Sheryl is active as a volunteer youth leader and teen career councilor. She enjoys the respect of her industry peers with long standing relationships with agents, managers, coaches, pageant owners, casting directors, producers and church leaders.
Sheryl Stokes teaches, and “gifts” young people with knowledge and confidence to unleash their potential worth, achieve, and realize their dream futures.
